THE REALLY BIG CANYON
Here are some of the latest petrograph images from the GrandCanyon Series. Alas, they're still not complete! (This thing's taking forever...) Each one of these is composed of the following:
Original black and white SLR photographs taken at the Grand Canyon (of shadows thrown by rock formations);
Liquid Light emulsion prints of the shadows on white beach pebbles;
Digital photograph (with one film exception) of beach pebbles in situ, shot in ashes, dry sand, wet sand, sea grass, beach pebbles, mud, and waves;
Composition of multi-image jpgs of above images.
That seems like a lot. But I still have to have these files printed, and then write my texts onto the prints by hand. And then photograph the prints. And then put them up here again....(anyone want to help?)
So that'll take awhile. In the meantime, here are some of the unworded images for now...
Enjoy.
And thanks.
