The Dusk Series

Amazon River, Brazil

Here are some new Dusk images that I took in November, 2015, on a trip to the
Rio Negro, one of the tributaries of the Amazon River, in Northern Brazil.

I've included a couple of focused images as well, so you can see what I was looking at
before it was abstracted by the camera. Most of these pictures were taken
during a zodiak ride along an inlet at dusk; as guides searched for crocodiles, I
kept snapping photos. Until my battery died.

Sigh.

A great journey. River dolphins really are bright pink.

The Dusk Series,

Musquodoboit Harbor, Nova Scotia

And the series continues...I took these photos on and around Martinique Beach in the town of Musquodoboit Harbor, on the Eastern Shore of Nova Scotia, in mid September, 2015. For some of the images below I've included traditional photos of the same scene. The difference between them is the difference between a study, maybe, and an impression. A feeling versus a fact.

Nova Scotia is a tough, beautiful place. These photos are dedicated to all who love it.
